@xpvenom So I just checked and it is under "Other Options" in the ES menu.

Also, you might want to restart to make sure the metadata gets saved before changing over to the Kids mode.

thats wierd, for me it would not work with modprobe and i remember reading somewhere that it was supposedly blocked, but whatever.

Batocera Linux has a x86 and x64 distribution image. I don't know which linux distribution it is based on.

The RetroPie scriptmodule has some compilation flags set (per system) which might not be set when you manually compile. However, the compiler option that triggers the error (looks like -Werror) is not part of those flags. I just tested on 18.04 and the installation works fine, maybe the new gcc in 19.04 is more strict.

After hearing the replies I think I will just power it on with the front button.

@Lermatroid you didn't provide any information to help. No idea even which version of the OS you're running.

if you have no cec package, your OS is likely too old. you can install without it with some hackery but if your os is old, you probably want to upgrade.

First time I hear this kind of - obviously wrong - explanation. Check the permissions on the folder and make sure your $USER owns the folder where the scripts are saved. You don't need to use sudo to edit something that's in your home folder.

Could also been something I mucked up; since I installed using net-inst, I checked the permissions and they looked fine.

@BuZz Id love to help, but i have absolutely no idea what to do with that...It would be easy for me to set up a clean VM and test what you did, but im clueless as to what to do with that link.

@polygonman244 Hey, there. I know this goes back a year, but emulationstation does not detect my PS Classic controller on the latest version of Retropie on a Pi4 ("no gamepad detected" after boot) and I'm just hoping you can please elaborate on what you meant by "I just used the 'map controller' setting and it worked." Do you mean the Configure Input screen after you press start in emulationstation with a recognized controller? Or is there another way to map a controller that I've missed?

@mitu Is solved now if I changed the theme and worked everything. I just have in some psx games issues with te control but is minimal. Thank you for all. Now is time to play after the hard work of configuration almost 3 weeks wow!

Wiped the Install for a fresh 22.04 LTS. Following the docs very closely but will add the __platform var this time to the initial retropie-setup command.

I know this is an old topic but I'm having exactly the same problem with reicast with exactly the same NUC and graphics, I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 and Retropie. I've tried to follow your instructions but am struggling. should I:

remove reicast using the retropie interface remove 20-intel.conf if it exists reboot Set HAVE_GL3 to 1 ?? someplace? reboot reinstall reicast, load the bios files in the BIOS folder reboot profit?

lr-redream and lr-reicast are functioning neither(18.04). Reicast installed from snap gives error:

ERROR: ld.so: object 'libgtk3-nocsd.so.0' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (failed to map segment from shared object): ignored.
