You'll need to alter /opt/retropie/configs/atari2600/emulators.cfg, but remember that the command line options that work for Stella don't necessarily carry over to lr-stella. When you say you already achieved what you wanted on Windows, was that through RetroArch? If it was actually the standalone version of Stella, it too can be installed separately through the RetroPie-Setup and the command line options can still be altered in the file I referenced. Something else to keep in mind is that particular file gets overwritten after every update, so you'll want to make allowances for that.

5.1GB sounds odd, I'm sure I read that you were using an 16GB SD card. It sounds like it hasn't expanded the filesystem. You can do this from inside raspi-config. select Advanced Options, Expand Filesystem

@jediknight36 Use the secrets menu when you start a new game. Thats where you enter the password. no link cable required.

@buzz np. If you do wait for 1.7.1, you may want to update the xmb assets at the same time - there's been a bit of activity in the assets repo that might impact it.

Finally, here's how I did to temporarily fix this bug.

edit or create /opt/retropie/runcommand-onstart.sh

add these lines

##reset bluetooth when launching mupen64,vice (fix controller cannot reconnect after get disconnected)
if [ "$1" == "c64" ] || [ "$1" == "n64" ] ; then
sudo hciconfig hci0 reset
fi

each time you launch a N64 or c64 game, you must reconnect (simply press ps button) the controller when game is started.

now if controller get disconnected or out of battery , you can reconnect without issue.

it also work if during the game a second controller want to connect, it is now recognized.

@mitu Perfect! Now RGUI it's back.
menu_driver = "xmb" was in snes/retroarch.cfg, deleting that line fixed it.

@dereksanderson Firstly, the Raspberry Pi is an ARM based single board computer as opposed to a x86 intel based pc. You cannot therefore expect a linux based "image" that has been configured for a Raspberry Pi to boot on a pc. You will need to follow the documentation to achieve what you want...

Second thing to note regarding "a great image from MLPIXEL (a 32GB) which boots on Rasperry Pi ". If this has roms then it is illegal. You should check out point 5 of https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first as indicated from @buzz as I was typing this very line.

When Cortés reached the new world, he burned his ships to inspire confidence in his men to move forward. With RetroPie however, I imagine it's simply a matter of practicality. Supporting the latest greatest release already takes a village. Supporting all the outdated images that have come and gone would be a pretty big burden. Personally, I don't see that 4.x is any less "plug and play" than 3.6. What are some examples that you've noticed?

@mitu fair enough. I appreciate the points made and now realise its wrong. All i'd say is i wanted a retro games box and this looked great. Its raspberry pi from what i've read. I'll wait for the dude to get back from holiday. Just wondered if anyone had encountered the same message and if there was any commands i could try to get emulation station retropie working again.

Wiimote + Dolphinbar should work with RetroArch emulator cores as of the latest releases of RetroPie and RetroArch.

The screen I used is a 128*128 screen so yours may be different. There is also the guide in my signature for ili9341 screens, you will see the similarities between the instructions, and get some idea of the wiring

@mitu Coincidentally, I tried stretch with his mame build last week and it ran like dogcrap. I tried a neogeo game and ran at 30% speed.

Facing the same issue with "select" not working. Don't know what "drastic" is, so cannot comment on this.

There seems to be a "fix", but I am not sure whether this is part of 4.3 yet? Anyone has a more recent image and can try? Are their nightly or weekly builds for Retropie?
