@urko948 The roms / zip files shouldn't be renamed. Mame expects them with specific names, because in the emulator is a database of filenames and other informations. Thats why you need a specific romset for a specific Mame version btw. If you rename anything, then you should do this within the gamelist.xml or elsewhere related. So, you should bring back the original state of roms with original names. Then remove the non working gamelist.xml by moving the file to different place for later analysis.

And then? I don't know. :D Maybe upload the faulty gamelist.xml, so we can check it and maybe see something unusual going on.

I’ve got banjo kazooie, Mario 64, Diddy kong racing, dk 64, Mario kart and star fox 64 running pretty decent on gles hi res now.

Waverace runs decent in rice hi res

Goldeneye barely passable on gles

Some overclocking done now. Guess I’m happy with where it’s at now then. Cheers.

i see, cause this project im working on now required to be play on web browser(thus the .js format) and also on an arcade machine(where my problem come in, the installation on raspberry pi)

So this mean my developer will need to code in perhaps in a coding language that can both run on web and in retropie ?

Just use the sdcard for /boot and mount rootfs entirely on the hd. Not only will it give you much more storage, but it will also almost eliminate the sdcard failure.

I have 3 Pis, all mounting rootfs on real HDs (one over NFS, and two local), and apart from kernel upgrades, there are no writes to the sdcard (well, except when I play with cmdline.txt and config.txt - but that's just me)

Files in the ROM folders should never be owned by root, how did you transfer your ROMs ?

Try a NESPI+ case ... properly set up, it has a real working power button that triggers shutdown script and actually turns power off to the Pi.

For your own playing, it is not necessary. But if a retropie/kodi/other setup is in a common area / family / kids / etc. it makes things much easier.

@alexxx You could just create an m3u file (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Playstation-1/#m3u-playlist-for-multi-disc-games). Works the same as an eboot but without having to convert the bin files.

You could also try a higher compression level inside PSX2PSP, but that can create issues of its own.

Thanks, that worked...but not for the emulator I am using. lr-o2em will not start a game with keypad numbers, only keyboard numbers. Strange, I hit F4 and tried the keypad and yes it produces numbers now. No clue why this is happening.

@LynchHack @mitu the lightning bolt and rainbow on a pi 3b+ has nothing to do with voltage. It means you need retropie 4.4 or newer which uses raspbian stretch.

yes there is massive confusion at the moment with 6 and 8 buttons.

the Megadrive/Genesis (6 Button) layout you where using is probably for the megadrive emulator its no good in other cores. Keep in mind to remap your genesis core if your using this as a global

@quicksilver if you change show fps to false and save as soon as you start a game it changes back
