    @campbell87 said in Superpi case - shutdown script not working.:

    the only difference on this case, is that the pi is powered by the case, so my power cable goes direct into the case, and not the pi.

    Sorry did not get this.... The old case was not directly wired, so there was no plug to put on the GPIO header of the Pie?
    Can you send a picture of the old case please?

    Your description of the new housing is the usual wiring. But nice you get it working now :-D
    Which script did you use now? If you use the crcerror script then you can terminate any running emulator by pressing reset button.

    Im sorry people. Look, I'm new to this forum and I hadn't read the rules set by the moderator. Also, I used to make my own images until I realized how much time I was wasting so now I use a 3rd part image. I still edit it and add roms and emulators but not adding everything. Let's just say I enjoy playing the games and not hunting down various roms and bios and editing random config files. Im only 16 and I have better ways to waste my time.

    There are no better ways of wasting time, take that back!

    Thanks for that! I had the same freeze issue, and setting up Gravis Ultrasound fixed it too :)

    Not necessarily - you can remap one of the existing buttons (X/Y/L/R) to be the P2 start. For the games you mentioned, it wouldn't be a problem, since they have very few buttons.

    @Ottoclav said in Pimoroni pHAT BEAT DAC not available as audiocard:

    I’m running Retropie 4.6.6 based on Raspbian Stretch

    The 4.6 image is based on Raspbian Buster, why are you using an old release ?

    I attempted to install the driver for the pHAT Beat from the command prompt and rebooted.

    Can you post the config.txt and /etc/asound.conf files ?

    @ReadyPlayaWon

    Thank You ReadyPlayaWon for the suggestions

    i managed to set it from "Slave" to "Master " and it didnt work still .... however i then tried it again but switched it to "Off"

    it worked .... nice to try this game ... i have been wanting to try this game

    i tested the game and it works ...

    however one RED Flag i have a concern over

    at the start menu ...

    i put in the coins

    it brings me to a start screen ( im unable to press start but it quickly start game (which is strange)

    then it brings like these modes of play and i have no control over it and it only selects Boss mode ... which is strange again it doesnt allow me to select

    i tested the boss mode its great and very entertaining ....

    but i do want to see the other modes and select them , but unable to ... do you know why that is ?

    (don't think its the controls because all controls work great and function like they should , no drift or anything )

    Edited : ohhhh i see now the boss mode is the main gameplay ...

    i thought there were different modes as in like a beat em up game mode or ect .... i understand now ... no reason to answer anymore ...

    Thank you for the help so i was able to play this game :) ... im happy with it

    @BuZz I Flashed another SD card that i had when i first got my switch, I mounted the image on the "new" sd card with the latest image 4.6 of retro pie and i do have the ability to use controls, so now all i have to do is import files from the other card.

    @BuZz thank you.

    BuZz can you also take a look at the "general" thread of Amiberry?
    I'm finding that games runs a little faster then normal, I made a video about that. If you want I can make more of them. Thanks.

    It was nice to get the Dolphen bar wiimote to work on the game

    Unfortunately I think the game may not be complete or fully compatible on the Pi 4 Flycast

    I have tried a few different sites to get this title

    I get kick out of the game on the first level with these jumping ninjas

    Tried many attempts times but can not get past the first level

    Such a fun experience this game is .... sad I can't fully play it on the Pi 4 without the crash

    Or if someone has a recommendation or tips please don't hesitate to inform

    Thank you

    The lingering 20 GB won't do anything detrimental to your system. So, if you don't need the space, I would just leave them there in the case that you'll need them sometime in the (far) future.

    @soda-inc said in How do I enable force feedback / rumble?:

    Also, I found some old posts which indicated that the Retropie Kernel might not be setup for controller vibration support.

    There's no RetroPie kernel and there's no special configuration that disables controller vibration support (as you've noticed with N64).

    When starting a PS1 game, check if you have 'Enable Vibrarion' in the Core settings and also set the Pad 1 Type to Dualshock.

    @Nakynaw

    My quick question is, since the 4.6 official image is a couple of months old, if I really want to make sure to start from the best basis, does it suffice to run the «update packages»?

    i would, but generally you shouldn't update unless there's something specific you want. and, as always, take a backup.

    Does it covers everything there is to update? And are there things worth updating from source to get latest improvements (especially if regarding n64 performances)?

    see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/#binary-vs-source-updates

    the best thing for n64 improvements is patience. some good improvements should be in the coming weeks/months.

    @dankcushions I just changed the resolution and frequency. Ignore my last comment about it not being horrible. It looks sooooooo much better now. Thanks again!

    I've only had it happen on my 3B+ setup with the lr-genesis-plus-gx emulator. And it wasn't unique to megadrive games. I has some Master System ROMs also do it.

    Hope they can resolve this in an update before long.
