    Final update!

After countless hours, the final update is here!
There are 955 Famicom covers to be used with your frontend of choice (which I am assuming to be Retropie for obvious reasons).
You can get the Zip file here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/is2fp6d0xlhv094/FamicomCovers.zip?dl=0
I hope that, for those interested in the console, my time has been dedicated to something you gonna enjoy.

Most covers could use better images and I'm quite aware that some covers don't look particularly good, but none of them look offensively bad.
However I've added a list of games that I need better images to work with, so if you have them and can send me high resolution photos or scans, please do so. Some of these games are particularly rare, so even digging through Yahoo Auctions and Mercari I couldn't find them.

Anyway, that's it for this thread.

    ===========================NOTES===========================
NAMES ARE BASED ON THE NO-INTRO SET (AS SEPTEMBER 20TH)

COVERS THAT ARE NOT CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL

Money Game II, The - Kabutochou no Kiseki
The original cover has some mathematical equations in the background. Due to the lack of high resolution photos, I can't make them pop up nor recreate.

@Halvhjearne My preferred method is indeed to preserve the original hardware so that changes can always be undone.

Maybe there is another way. I did managed to mod 2 original gameboy advance with ags-101 lcd mod and custom made micro usb charging lithium battery option without destroying the original shell. I think i will buy 2 SNES USB adapters to begin with and then i can always look on the internet after other options as well and they are pretty cheap on ebay.

    Thanks for your opinion. :-)

@ruckage how did your repo of the front sticker turn out?
I'm doing a similar project and was having trouble finding a new sticker, so I was hoping you had some success! (or failures I can learn from!)

Apologies for digging up an old thread; it seemed more appropriate than creating a new topic!

I have the exact same issue. Was there ever a fix? I'm trying to remove the overlay side bars for every system, especially classic Arcade games like Mrs. PacMan for my 1Up Arcade cab. screen. Thanks in advance.

So I went back to this project and changed the controllers from the old D-Sub sockets into USB sockets... Had to replace the old PCB with a newer one though, as it seemed to be gone for good.

necro post but just wondering if these found their way to the libretro thumbnails repo?

    https://github.com/libretro-thumbnails/libretro-thumbnails

might be worth looking into as it seems both sfc and nes are incompllete thus far

It's in the libretro directory of the Nestopia core's source: https://github.com/rdanbrook/nestopia/tree/master/libretro

As of this week, RetroArch supports multiple mice in all cores that have their own support for one or more mice. As long as the original emulator that the libretro core is based on has mouse support, the libretro version should as well.

If a core which should have mouse support doesn't work when thus configured, there is at least one libretro dev who is actively looking for cores to fix for mouse support, so new github issues are welcome.

In other words: what are you trying to do that isn't working?

@MadRikXIV have you tried rotating your heatsink to get your wifi working? The direction it is facing can have an effect on the wifi because the heatsink acts as an antenna. Taking it out of the acrylic case will help some too.

Yeah, I will add a barrel jack later on my new Famicom case. This one is not the best looking work.
I still got 3 Famicoms around to bleach and mod. I broke not needed pieces out with a pench tool which doesn't look nice I should buy a Dremel or similar for better results.

Regarding the fan, I haven't encountered any issues thus far. My RPi is nice and cool inside the Famicom.

@groviar, did this process end up working to your satisfaction? I've been wanting to do the same thing for a while but my minor experiments with it didn't pan out. This thread is the only thing I can find that covers the topic sufficiently.
