@aron i got same on compiling mupen64plus (standalone) on Tinker with missing error from specific build folder
      /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/mupen64plus/mupen64plus-core/projects/unix
I ve added a copy of the libmupen64plus.so.2.0.0 in the folder over winscp just asap scriptmodule created the build subfolder(s) and it compiled fine without an error.
      Hope that work around helps

I wish I could help with your direct issue, but if you can't get it to work, you could always purchase the N64 controllers by 8bitdo&retrobit.

@NastyButtler322 if you go through the Retropie-Setup GitHub repository and search the individual installation script modules you'll find the references of all source code repositories for each of those emulators.

      Best of luck.

Has it actually moved the files under the N64 folder? That's the first thing i'd check. After that it maybe that the extension .sfc has become associated with MUPEN instead of one of the snes emulators in Emulationstation. Check the first thing I said and reply back here. If it's not moved everything then we can check the second thing.

@Phoenix_Rising66 I have the same problem. There’s no select button so i have to turn off the retro pie just to go to a different game, then after I do that I have to reconfigure the controller again

@Ted-Ryot or you could just set "color buffer to rdram" to "async" and the intro will work properly (on a pi 4). If you use RetroPie use mupen64plus-gliden64 and the game will run fullspeed too.

So an update to what I've tried.

I found this post and set the hotkey button to the 10 (xbox guide). I set the menu input toggle to f1 I ran apt-get update / upgrade

None of the above solved my problem. 1 & 2 did indeed change the hotkey button, but only in non 64 emulators and the 3rd one seemed to screw up my controls really bad. So I deleted the cfg's in the hopes it would restore the controls and upon reboot everything was working really funky.

I think I'm going to re-install and try again.

      I'm really confused as:

The documentation doesn't seem to match what I'm experiencing. Changing configurations seems to cause random bugs. No matter what I do I cannot control PSX games.

      This is lunacy.

I will re-install and try again, but does anybody have a dump of working .cfg files for for the xbox 360 wireless remote with dongle? I feel like thats the only way I can confirm this isn't a bug.

Once again I'm running a pi3 with xbox 360 wireless remotes.

I've tried a couple things since I posted, but with no luck. Here's what I've done to hopefully weed out the issue...

I've followed the instructions in this thread to add Joystick Selection to the RetroPie Menu. I configured the all four controller ports for XBOX 360 controllers solely for N64.

The back out hotkey (select+start) works on the controller, but nothing else. Oddly enough, all of the buttons on the wireless keyboard work in the games. I've rebooted with just the controller connected, and still no luck.

What possible steps do I have from here?

there were a few issues with the "migration" code for the renames - nothing should be too problematic, but you may need to redo any "per rom" settings (we still don't migrate those), and re-install any if they were incorrectly renamed. Hopefully this is all resolved now.
