      Thanks @petrockblog!
I just tried it out using some stipped wire.
Connecting Plyr 1 GND or Plyr 2 GND with Player 1 B for a short moment will indeed "reset" out of the current running game!

@GDkitty said in EmulationStation asks to map buttons that my gamepad doesn't have:

I am on the current ES (4.4 i think?), and it does not show the message to hold to skip, though it does work.

It does - but just at the beginning, before you start pressing and mapping your input. It's been fixed in the mean time, but it's not yet part of the stable update cycle.

Every game on the snes mini runs perfectly fine on a pi EXCEPT star fox 2. SNES9x2010 runs some areas and a tad poorly with choppy audio and slowdown. Snes9x2005 runs it smoothly, but a tad too fast compared to a snes mini. Not that you would notice if you don’t compare. The pi has a rewind feature like the snes mini but super fx games struggle with it.

Thanks davj. This is exactly what I needed. I'm checking it out now and it seems very helpful. Even if not all of them will run properly.

@pokeengineer He has it running on the pi. But progress will be slow since he is working on this by himself.

      Thanks so much for this!

Apparently, I'm a knucklehead and had two things wrong in my wiring:

D1 was in Pin3, not Pin7 I had the clock and latch wiring reversed

I'm now able to read controller data with jstest. Thanks again!

actually, I managed to solve the problem simply removing the .bak extension. I have now two configuration files for the two controllers and everything seems to be working fine even in games.

      Thanks anyway!

Allright! I got the MSU-1 mods working! They work great!

@darksavior There's more than one Z:LttP MSU-1 mod out there.
      Try this one: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2234/
It seems to work fine for me, with no overclocking.

Can somegive tell me which PINs to use from the original SNES Reset button, so I can solder 2 wires and connect one to GPIO17 and the other one to GND of the Raspberry?
I don't know which one is which one and am unsure if the picture is correct or not.

      @darknior Haha....

I actually do a few things in paint still myself. If I have to move an image slightly to get rid of a bad edge or resize it slightly that's the quickest way for me.

I actually recommend Paint.NET though. It was real easy for me to pick up and there's a huge fan community that makes a lot of helpful extensions. I've used some of these extensions for altering the perspective to make really bad angled box and cart shots look like they were taken directly head on.

Made a HUGE difference when I could get a 1500x2100 image off of ebay and change the perspective to have an amazing HQ image instead of using some 300x425 image with a beat up box and a sticker on it that I found on some random gamer site.

@MrPrecise There are several forks from the orignal repo. But I can not advise which of the forks is the best maintained (as I do not use it actively), maybe someone else of the community here can provide a hint which fork works the best with a current RetroPie/ES.
