im having the same issues, retropie 4.4 installed, 360 controllers working perfectly, then update and bam, broken. all advice says: don't update. so ill roll back to new, and wont update, not updating bothers me a bit, that feeling that newer is always better is hard to break sometimes

@jasonw im having the same issue with the 360 controllers going all weird after the update. i guess your way is the best, just dont update for now. ill roll back to an image before the update and move on.

See that's the thing I don't know is it gonna install like the video is play out because of the retropie new update 4.4 the other one was 4.3

Finally got the switch yesterday and installed. eBay listing said it was a latching switch but it ended up being a momentary. I wasn't able to put the switch on the side like I wanted since it was too long and wide and would interfere with the GPIO pins.

This was really the only place I could put it.

I have the led ring setup to be on when the pi is on and off when power is off.

For anyone installing an led on their Pi 3+, I found that pin 8 (GPIO 14) used for power is set to low(power off) by default on newer versions of the OS, I'm on Linux 9 stretch from the image I got with 4.4.1. To enable it you need to add the following line to /boot/config.txt

enable_uart=1

@caver01 There IS a recess/gap of about 2 cm, so you idea about a square piece of wood that fits the inside of the edges is quite brilliant. And would be very, very easy for me to do. It would be steady from sliding to the sides at least, and I can probably attach something on the back and/or front, so that is also keeps it from sliding back and forth.

The best part of that idea is almost that the recess/gap was probably going to look a bit strange on the stand (because the bartop bottom can't be flat on the stand), but this solution can actually hide that gap when it's on the stand, making it look more like a full size cap!

@mitu I think no. But i dont really know if something change or not... or if i did it wrong when I writed that lines (no error message, just go down to the next line) but still having the same problem with the blue menu "in game"
Just another stupid question for my part, .how I can restart the rasp, or the system in the command menu (this one we are working) because I don't know if need to restart or save the changes.

@sixstring396 if I am remembering this right, you can install another locale, but you still need to SELECT it for it to take effect. Does that sound right? I seem to remember that one of the items in the long list has an asterisk by it which is the selected one being used.

<EDIT> Yeah, here is a site describing what I mean. You hit spacebar to select the locale. That page has commands to bring up these screens, but this is all accessible through raspi-config

I'm afraid not at the moment and unfortunately I don't think that is bound to change anytime soon. The DraStic team has had a bit of hard luck, losing key members and even a certain amount of their source code. Right now, the main developer has the all-to-common problem of not having enough time to work on the project. However, there is talk of the existing source being opened up, at which point you'd likely see a lot of revitalized interest and advancement. Perhaps even a libretro core.

I'm still no further forward if anyone can offer some help?

@8bitkid you cant use the doom shareware wad that comes with the emulators. You need to overwrite it with your ultimate doom wad

@mitu Yes i edited the XML file. The default was 1920x1080 and i changed it to 640x480, which of course is 4:3.
