After spending the weekend thinking about which procedure was done wrong, I remembered that I performed many installations and updates hoping to fix the problem, so I downloaded a clean .img and installed it again. After reinstalling the OS the control worked correctly, thank you anyway.

Yes, the problem with lr-mame2000 is that is not compatible with all games. :(

In any case I will try to configure the gpicase controller searching in the config files for mame4all

with a CRT display there's a certain amount of image retention which makes these fast flickering shadows appear just as transparent grey, with the floor visible underneath. i thought there's shaders out there that fake the same effect for modern screens, but i can't find them...

@Sakitoshi I didn't know you could use the xbox 360 e av cable. Heck i didn't even know how it looks like until now. But it all makes sense.

@jonzen I wasn't suggesting to install the xboxdrv driver, but merely asking if you have it installed, since it will create an extra controller when installed.

With the controller plugged in, run cat /proc/bus/input/devices and post the output here.

@Maalik_ I see. I don’t know what happened that made reicast so screwed up recently. I was fortunate because when I built my bartop reicast was working the best it had and then we got access to lr-reicast (now Lr-flycast) and that was working well on the pi and even gave us access to some Naomi and atomiswave games and then all of a sudden it is like both projects fell off a cliff with a ton of users reporting various bugs. Sorry wish I could be more help.

I read about the API changed of EmlationStation but I had some packages conflict that I fixed with 'apt --fix-broken install' and after this I updated the EmulationStation as you said.

@ian02293 I'm not familiar with the theme - if it supports collections or not, you'll have to ask the theme author or just try adding your collections to see if the theme already has images for them.

I though I had alleviated the issue but, it is seems that it persists. Leaving the following.

The files were corrupted by either dosbox-sdl2 or by the settings and game Albion.

The threats and viruses detected by Windows 10 were likely just corrupted files.

Possibly the raspberry has been compromised.

/opt/retropie/configs/all/autostart.sh

so it calls

emulationstation --screensize 640 576 --screenoffset 37 79

when booting and when reseting ES from the menu, and it's working flawlessly!

So I disabled it, and played a few rounds of SNK vs Capcom 2, and some time around the hanger in Tony Hawk 2, and it works perfectly! Thanks! :D
