Hotkey+x will open the retroarch menu while youre in game. Then go to controls and remap as you like and then you can save it as a core remap. Remapping here won't influence your mappings in the standalone emulator because it doesn't use the retroarch controls.

It is from MAME 0.205 (x64) release.

@mitu Yes, that's how I have always connected my ps3 pad. I'm using ps3controller instead of sixaxis at the moment and having no issues.

Most likely the USB stick is not 'mounted' (therefore inaccessible) when the splashscreen starts, so the video cannot be read and the splashscreen fails. Copying it to /opt/retropi.. will copy the splashscreen on the SD card, which is immediately available on boot.

Afair RetroArch added a new aspect ratio, which caused some IDs to change due to the ordering. So you would need to edit existing configs or reconfigure.

After I wrote this article I found that option in the Boot Options menu, I set it to wait for network connectivity however for some reason that did not work. however setting a sleep command to the autostart.sh worked well. Using the autostart.sh sleep and mount command worked properly.

@mitu Oh, yes that file. I tried that but no luck. I remapped and got the same result. Although up and down are reversed, they work just fine but it won't read left and right. Daphne is such a pain to get going. I've done the jstest and see the stick is axis 0 and axis 1 and return a pos/neg 32767 on each axis.
I don't have any issues with any other emulator I have games for (Fba, Mame, PS1, Sega Genesis, Nes, SNES ,PC Engine). I can't understand what the issue is with Daphne and the axis mapping.

The “playable” state I now have it in is being produced through reicast not flycast. Sorry if I did not make that clear.

I will try your control mapping suggestions. And yes I think I’ve got the pi3 about maxed out.

@ULTRA-MAGNUSS I found a solution to Cobra Command on my own. Use cobram3.zip as your rom. cobra.zip and cobraab doesn't seem to work. Create a cobram3.daphne folder with the frame file, video files, and sound file in the daphe folder. If you already have .dat files in your cobram3.daphne folder, delete just the .dat files. Once you try to run the game it should parse your video and then should be ready to play. I'm so happy I got it working. Now I gotta figure out how to remap the controls.
