It's all good, just got a little excited to add another system, no big deal, just always looking!

I have the same issue... sort of... I'm running a pidrive and put an image on it... worked beautifully... I started adding more roms... then got to a point where it told me I didn't have any more room... I have a terabyte tho... I tried expanding the file system and says sda2 is not an sd card... it won't let me... So i'm in the same boat as you... I saw noobs is an option but I have not tried it... I'm not sure if it will mess with my image or not...

@herb_fargus I really appreciate the advice. I am even more lost now ha! but I would like to learn how to navigate the terminal more I just don't have any friends that could walk me through it. I will check out your link. thanks!

@AlexMurphy I dont understand what you mean. The number of it is called 6CL-00001. I dont know if that is the "Model" you are referring to but I am not familiar with what the models are called aside from this. There is also a number 1708 on the box. Perhaps that is the model?
If you Google 6CL-00001, it brings up the results for the exact controller model which I have. Can you tell me another way to find out the "Model" that you are referring to and I will gladly get that info for you. Thanks.

They are didn't images that you need to burn till the SD card

Those are called "save states", I thought you had problems with the normal in-game saving. Well, enjoy FFIX it's a great game.

Alright...never mind. Fixed it again. You are definitely right Buzz. Seems that my permissions keep changing or something.

I was able to fix the resolution not switching by inputting the sudo chown command followed by the ls command in putty. Without restarting my pi I went into each system runcommand menu and adjust the resolution settings.

@BuZz The procedure you suggested completely fixed the problem. The new advmame-1.4.rc contains the correct paths and /home/pi/.advance is now a symbolic link.

Whats with all the rom requesting crap here? It literally takes just a couple seconds on Google to find a good source or even a complete torrent romset. I don't want to sound harsh but if you really didn't figure it out on how to get them trough Google, you really shouldn't buy the Pi at all.

@Spiky strange. It works for me on auto.

I would also be quite interested to hear people's opinions and experience with this. The advanced controller mapping guide is excellent and very comprehensive for xboxdrv however the retropie wiki does seem to suggest xpad is the preferred and is even the default.

I would especially be interested if anyone has any suggestions for xpad tweaks to improve ScummVM analog control.
