@iandaemon Not to get off topic. But I have arthritis in both my knees and left should, Both of my hands. I need my left knee replaced. And I have spine problems I need to get some surgery on it. Worked all my life sense I was 10 and now my body is feeling it. Half of my life a truck unloader and reloading. I did roofing, HUAC’s well helped on them. And a lot of other trades I picked up here and there. Lol

No, the binary packages are not versioned and downgrading is not an option.

If I'm not loading the save state game and just run the game it fails to start and moves me back to EmulationStation list of Dreamcast games with controls not working.

@buzz @mitu I have a VirtualBox's Virtual Machine set to Debian (64 bits) running Raspberry Pi Desktop (https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/raspberry-pi-desktop/), which may be 32 bits?

Then I followed the guide on how to install RetroPie on Ubuntu/Debian https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/raspberry-pi-desktop/

I dont have any idea anymore atm.

Just to test i wrote a Fresh 4.7.1 image, installed only lr-MAME2010 & lr-MAME2016, put in validated 0.139 STV-Roms and BIOS (both running on a Pi3 with AdvanceMAME), did not change anything in the settings, all default,...system freezes :/

What i dont understand: why does it seem that i am the only one?
Or is noone interested in STV? Dudes, that is the Arcade-Spin-Off of SEGAs Saturn, it is good! :)

It is not that i am expecting that they are really playable, even on a Pi4.
But that they lead to a Freeze of the System makes me mad :/
With this Status i would have to delete them, i dont want anything freezing my system onboard.

ok. But then I must install all drivers by hand, lot of work.
I have updated retropie, so it should be the newest version.

@wawa My issue was over with that. changing that from the editor was enough to make it work.
Make sure you type all the correct characters and texts leaving no room for Retropie to rewrite that info

I'd install RetroPie with normal NOOBS along with Raspberry Pi OS. But I can't get the RetroPie folder that I can paste in the 'os' folder.

It would be nice to install retropie with NOOBS, but it isn't an option.

I have moved my question about the 2nd controller to a new thread so as not to contaminate and confuse there. thank you all.

So it doesn't appear to do this for lr-parallel-n64 or lr-mupen64plus oddly, so at a guess it seems there's something specific to those 2 cores.

@ronson here at retropie we only support and recommend the images found at https://retropie.org.uk/download/ - there are a number of 4:3 themes available for the default front end 'emulationstation'. see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Themes/#theme-gallery

maybe someone will reply with specific recommendations possible within retropie.
