When I tried using gpionext I kept being met with error messages. I ended up just getting a few different parts to work with the super pi girl drivers. Still, thank you for the help.

@dankcushions it’s about performance. On 2016 I can play eg. Die Hard Arcade with minimal slowdowns during QTE but overall game is pretty playable. With current mame it works in around 10 fps. Apart from that I have Mame2016 romset and don’t need to find another source for that.

@bio_hazard1282 The PS5 controller has a touchpad right? If so you should be able to use that to emulate the stylus.

How can I add --renderer sdl to the SuperTux.sh?

Solved the Issue just had to set the resolution in runcommand to the same resolution that was set inside lzdoom and viola no more crashing back to emulation station and losing hdmi signal.

@themazingness https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Debian/ (at least that one worked for me on 20.04.1 LTS a few weeks go), though co do [final edit:] to build some additional (optional/experimental (can't remember which one, could have been lr-mame 2016)) packages, it was neccessary to install python 2 (which is EOL, and therefore not included with UBU20).

This looks like a permissions problem. There is also a recent issue with RetroArch not saving the configuration (reported here), which should be solved if you update the RetroArch packag from source.

Override saving might also be an issue with permissions - check the permissions on the following folders:

/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch /opt/retropie/configs/snes

@bollwerk I tried it now and sometimes the game loads, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it works without the menu screens. Weird. I am using an experimental kernel and the kms video driver so there might be bugs with that.

The RetroPie Docs have a very detailed chapter about Spinners, Trackballs, Lightguns, Mice .

For the fine tuning of the spinners' sensitivity for each game, I used MAME`s own so-called tab menu that comes up when you press the tab key. See this video about how to do that:

What emulator/game are you starting ? The libretro emulators (starting lr-) should be auto-configured after you set-up the gamepad in EmulationStation, but if it's one of the other stand-alone emulators, additional configuration may be needed.
