@mitu I got it working after thinkig about it i thought the easiest solution would be to delete the software and put a new copy of retropie on it.

@liranics Did you manage to set the blaze control to the raspberry pi?

@leitmotiv You can use the same topic, it's up to you if you want to use another forum or not - you might try the AdvanceMAME forums.

Sounds like retrogame isn't installed, or it isn't loading when booting, or isn't configured properly.

If you open the terminal (press F4) and push your buttons and see if the corresponding letters appear.

If you see no letters when moving the joystick or pushing buttons, then retrogame isn't working

I have same problem but not with all games, some games when I press player 1 fire button on a co-op game it works on the second player? checked the dragon encoders and all wired exactly the same on both encoders?

I did have a similar problem to you (but not the same) with zero delay arcade joysticks. I fixed it. Try this first. The 5 pin connector may be attached the wrong way around. I bought 4 or 5 similar joysticks about 3 years ago. The connector (ie the connector to the joystick) connects both ways but only one way is right. When I connected mine upside down, it would read only a couple of the directions until I turned it the other way around. I found back then there was no way of telling which way was right and which wrong - at least when connected to the Pi.

I found the problem (or just one solution atm). There is something that libretro does not like in the driver implementation. Now I can fully play the Super Mario in the PC browser and on Android Chrome in my smartphone.

Sorry for the noise and thanks for your time, but hopefully everyone will benefit from this once I have made a demo.

@mitu Thanks for your reply. I finally figured it out the problem was PEBKAC!!! I had the joystick plugged into the wrong 5 pin port. I thought there was only the one and I was wrong. Totally my bad but thanks for the help. I'm going to leave this up since I could not find any solutions to this problem anywhere and it might help someone.

@asici2 Yes, the feature is only available for lr-fbalpha.

FBA is optimised for Capcom fighting games so lr-fbalpha is the recommended arcade emulator for the Street Fighter games. You will need to find a new romset as lr-fbalpha uses a different one to MAME. More info at: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/FinalBurn-Alpha/

@udubnate If you want good quality components out of the box then I'd recommend the Hori real arcade pro 4.
