@wild-snail We understand what you are saying, but retropie is like legos. think of it as each part/program is a different lego, that when you put them together, you get a rocketship, or in this case retropie. And each lego is produced by a different person or group of people, some that dont even work with each other. The default for most things in retropie is Nintendos way, caus thats the way the separte programers decided to do it. East button being enter and south button being cancel. you can switch it up in emulation station, but it won't switch it up in retroarch or the linux command line menus, because they are different legos, i mean programs.

How exactly did you install RetroPie ? Did you use the file provided at retropie.org.uk/download (.img.gz) or other methods/files ?

The usb part i've configure to read roms trough the usb. I followed the steps where i first add some roms to the sd card, then transfered them to the usb. i don't know if you understand what i mean, but i hope you do.

Use the Finder to transfer your files, over the network, and leave the USB alone for now - see the file transfer method using file shares.

@ReadyPlayaWon Indeed. I've now managed to separate pretty much all of my systems the way I want to. It feels good to have my PC-Engine CD roms where they belong! ^^

Some zips work perfectly, others have to be disk swapped, and some don't work at all.

So just stick to WHD load .lha games that contain the full set of disk files.

Yeah, I have many memories with the Odyssey 2!

I have the same awful controller. It tries to detect the device that it's connected to and select mode based on that. If the system is running Windows it will switch to Xbox mode.

I'm still not sure how exactly to switch mode, but last I got I working by holding select+analog. But I also found this on a sellers website:
"press the "home" button for 7 seconds, you can freely switch the mode."

Linux actually seams able to use the gamepad in all 3 modes (it also has an Android mode), but the device sometimes won't fully register before switching the mode a couple of times.

I have tried playing this Game around 4-5 trying to complete it

Unfortunately there is a glitch on either level 6 or 7 ...

I pass the first person view level (level where to have to follow the bad guy to the end )

(There are 2 first person view " doom " type levels and this was the second level like this , then after you pass this level you go to. Shooting level )

And then the gun support stops working

Kind of a bummer can't complete the game with the gun

I have the same problem, I can solve it changing sdtv_mode=1 for use NTSC system instead mode=2 for PAL.
I prefer PAL colours but the flickers are awful!

In RetroPie you can install graphical interface pixel from retropie-setup

You need to copy the /home/pi/RetroPie/retropiemenu folder.
