@pedrovay2003 well the keys were leaked many years ago. Possible that they are in there. Or they have some hackey way of decrypting like the programs that will extract a clean iso from a bought pbp.
You may be the one of the very few people to attempt to run a DRMed file in an emulator, because for the most part, it should not work.
Also beetle-psx is practically the same emulator as mendafins.

So this what I have. The grid actually works and all I really need to do now is add in all the Metadata and positioning of everything. I used <autoLayout>1 5</autoLayout> under imagegrid to specify how many columns I have as well as how many games are shown in the grid. Anyway, thanks again for the help, even though I ended up figuring it out for myself. At least I know that what I did matched your suggestion to a T.

For the arcade one I'll then use latest mame via Retroarch on my i5 USFF PC.

Most likely yes.

Check if you have Subscribed to a category from the forum and remove the subscription. I see you've set all categories to 'Watched', you might want to remove that also. The forum will automatically set any topic you reply or open to 'Watched'.

@greenhawk84 The line you're looking for is "video_font_enable." What FroyoXSG recommended doing is going to RetroPie -> RetroArch from the main system-select menu. Then, when the RetroArch menu pops up, you can go to

Settings -> On-Screen Display -> On-Screen Notifications

In there, "On-Screen Notifications" are the little text messages you see at the bottom of the screen, while "Graphics Widgets" are those more elaborate boxes telling you about remap and other files being loaded. You can set each to "OFF." I'm not sure what the corresponding line in the config file for the widgets is.

ok, I figured it out. When I read that Daphne uses the first controller it sees, I turned off my guns and it worked just fine.

So, I know this is quite old, but I actually found a very quick solution for this.

If you go into the Retroarch settings and navigate to Settings > Video > Turn Hard GPU Sync to ON.

I was playing Double Dragon, and the framerate kicked up immediately. The game runs flawless now.

@bberlin1 Looks alright to me, none of those things are part of the configs folder - most of them as OS settings/configurations that are not specific to RetroPie.
The Dosbox Pure is part of RetroPie - make sure you're using the latest version of the RetroPie-Setup script.

Being from the U.S., the only time I ran into trouble was when the image updated to default to a UK English keyboard layout. My @ or something similar (Shift + <a key>) combo became something else until I changed my keyboard to the right type.

On a PC (x86/x86_64), the recommended emulator is lr-beetle-psx - have you tried running the games with it ? Note that it still needs the PS1 BIOS file(s), but they're named differently.
