All I had to do was delete my recently uploaded splash screens through samba and reboot.. I guess you need to save video splash screen files a certain (unknown) way before you transfer

@mitu I wanted to circle back, you were right. In the terminal, I typed df -h / this got me the info on the SD card. So, that resulted in 118gb Space, 113gb used, 0 Space available, 100% used up.

I thought this was odd, my SD card should be close to 128gb. Anyways, I deleted a bunch of games, etc and ran the same command and got the following:

118gb space, 103gb used, 10gb space avail., used 92%

So like I said, you were right!

The finally solution for me was manage the relationship 1:1, one speaker with one dongle (USB). For spread the sound on all speaker i used an virtual audio card with "paprefs". Maybe we'll see this skills on new Bluetooth versions.

@MDtar7 Im running out of ideas, but try enabling SMB 1.0 support on your PC.
Its in Control Panel, Programs and Features, Turn Windows Feature On or Off and select SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support. Restart your computer and try it again.

Use raspi-config and configure the system to auto-login to the console. If EmulationStation doesn't start automatically after a reboot, then use the setup script to enable the autostart of EmulationStation - see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/FAQ/#how-do-i-boot-to-the-desktop-or-kodi.

Is there any reason you're not using the RetroPie image directly ?

I can map several keys to my retropad (I use a PS3 sisaxis), including the joystick swap and the virtual keyboard. I mapped Y,N,1,2,return,space,F!. Here is my configuration as an example (in the retroarch options menu):

hotkey switch joyports: retrok_rshift
retropad select: toggle vkbd
retropad start: retrok_rshift
retropad b: --- (=fire)
retropad a: retrok_return
retropad y: retrok_space

retropad R: retrok_y
retropad L2: retrok_2
retropad R2: retrok_n

Also, if you have trouble inputting some letters in text-based games (like A or S), you must chose "physical keyboard pass-through: on" and everything will be OK.

The mesa-drm package should not be needed for a RPI3b+ installation.

It seems you do need to install something - see the manual:

It looks like you need to install GPIONext, a GPIO user driver to make the gamepad(s) work.

@mitu I got it working by setting the emulator to "psx-rearmed" instead of "Ir-psx-rearmed". I want to double check if this is a safe way to fixing the problem

Hm. Still at a loss. Do I have to save the game config to make it work? I would like to make a working configuration on the fly and only save it when it works. Also "User 1 Device Type" - I believe this should stay RetroPad? "User 1 Analog To Digital" - should I fiddle around with that? "User 1 Steering" is set to "Left Analog X" - which sounds reasonable, but does not work...

@VictimRLSH Hm, a quick test shows it's not working at runtime (i.e. without rebooting the device). Maybe fiddling with tvservice would allow this - I'll have a to check more.

@sushisan I do agree with that. The code that fails was added later and I guess wasn't tested on older cmake. We can bump the cmake version but I don't mind if someone wants to make it work on older cmake too so long as it's easily maintainable. Eg Not having to adjusting the JSON cmake files if we upgrade that component to keep compatibility. Easier just to require a newer cmake.

Retropie, any version for some strange reason does not connect to the access point.

SOLUTION: I had to install an OPEN-WRT custom firmware on the access point.

Once rebooted and configured, everything works.

The strange thing, that the first time, with the firmware stock was connected perfectly, then you can not.

I'll try it again when I have access to several browser and back on my other computer.
