    Hi,

I've had similar problems when trying to run an Amiga emulator. I've found the process of using the emulators somewhat clunky through RetroPi/EmulationStation.

    A few pointers to try:

Use UAE4All instead of UEA4Arm as I've found UAE4All to load most games without a black screen. I usually use an A500 kick start.

Try another copy of the game, some Amiga ADF files have been cracked and don't work well. Look for some clean Amiga roms, they aren't so easy to find online.

I've struggled getting multi disk games to load reliably.

Another issue is mapping USB SNES joypad a real pain to do on UAE4Arm, just wouldn't like the mappings or save them. UAE4All seems to save the configuration with some luck.

Overall, my experience hasn't been that great using the Amiga emulator. Using the older defunked UAE4All frontend seems to be more reliable.

If anyone has anymore pointers and tips please share.

@millertv79 Happy to report that the EW-7811UN works out of the box for RetroPie, and I used the PINN version of NOOBS with success as well, using a Pi Zero and a passive USB hub.

    Where are these Raspberries?

4 Raspberries = 4 Cores = Quad Core = Raspberry Pi2 or Pi3. You see them when you boot the device.

I have exactly the same problem. I found quite a few videos on youtube which shows you how to resolve this by going into the actual retroarch configuration menu's.... but that's in version 3.6 of retropie. In v4.1 (the current latest version) many of those menu's do not appear. I've tried with a SNES styled USB controller... and a USB keyboard. When going through the retropie menu I can use both USB controller and/or keyboard. As soon as i select a game in any of the emulators, then the USB devices no longer work/or are recognised. I cannot even get back to the menu at all. Hard shutdown is the only way to get out of this (unplug the power cable) from my pi. I am also running the same setup as @TheCartesian mentions above running on a pi3 B. HELP retropie guru's..... i stupidly told my kids i'd get this setup for them to play the BEST CLASSIC games ever and i'm failing. Snif snif....

Sorry I wasn't very clear, I have framebuffer off currently. I turned it on, and then I turned it off. There's a noticeable graphical difference, so I know it's definitely off, but somehow the pause delay is still gone. Framebuffer On does increase the lag even worse though.

But even before I messed with the framebuffer, there was input lag is what I was trying to say.

I don't think there's a fix though, it's just how it's currently coded it seems.

If I do it by linux or windows would it copy everything including the games from SD card to NAS then back to the larger SD card?

@BuZz Thanks a million for your help! I ended up installing the latest elementary OS 0.4 Loki, updated the Retropie-Setup script and voila!
    Thanks once again!

    Kind regards,

    @co88y

File is only .011 mb - is that right??

Yes but you will also need a BitTorrent client. I've never tried using one on a Mac so I can't recommend one but here's the wikipedia page for BitTorrent:

@Newellj79 paste here the output of this command: ls /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads

Format your posts! - put small logs in code blocks - see http://commonmark.org/help/ - and put large logs on a pastebin type site like http://paste.ubuntu.com/ http://pastebin.com/ or similar.

So technically the above worked – I CAN use the Edimax EW-7611ULB combo bluetooth/wifi dongle after following the directions in that link I posted..

    ...but weird stuff is happening:

1.) The keyboard (Rii mini, 2.4ghz dongle variety) is now ALWAYS player one. I mean ALWAYS. I unplug the keyboard, hit "A" on a hard-wired controller to start a game, and the keyboard is somehow still player 1 and I have to plug the keyboard back in in order to hit "Select + Start" to exit out of a game. Never had that happen before. Furthermore, my bluetooth controllers ALWAYS took priority (i.e. Player 1, then Player 2, etc) over hard-wired controllers no matter what port they were plugged into (don't play mutiplayer that often but I'm pretty sure that's how it always worked).

2.) WiFi doesn't auto connect. When I go into WiFi setup it even gives me an IP address ending in 140 which totally looks like it's connected if it has an IP address...but it's not really connected (can't SSH or FTP in for example). When I click on connect to a wireless network, re-enter my same password, it then connects, but the IP address changes to end in 12 (which has also never happened since my router I believe always saves the same IP address for a specific dongle...which is how my FTP bookmarks never fail to work).

3.) Since something is screwy, when I unplug the combo dongle, and (reboot) then plug back in the regular bluetooth dongle (which ALWAYS worked before - no special compiling of drivers needed) -- for the life of me I can't get my 8BitDo wireless controller to connect now (tried 2 different bluetooth controllers).

@BuZz I think I may have figured out what was giving me problems. I had the bluetooth settings such that the 8bitdo was being turned on everytime I turned on the Pi. I was trying to play with the two usb controllers not realizing that the 8bitdo was on and serving as the 1P controller. If I restart retropie keeping the 8bitdo turned off I can use the two usb controllers for 2 player games. Please forgive me for wasting your time. I appreciate that you were willing to help.

Ok, some news ! it seems that large part of my rom files were corrupted. So I "found" new one and everything work like a charm now ! So Thank you and bravo for this very very pleasant RetroPi distribution ! I think I'll make a donation so !

Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
