Thanks for that, I've tried the standalone and they work fine with no tinkering. I'm trying the high resolution one as default but it looks like I'll probably need to set alternatives for some roms, as they're a bit sluggish. Mario Kart 64 looks and plays really well though!

      @horaceandspider

Thanks - The other thing that I have been testing is the abilty to swap the A & B buttons, as outlined in you replay below. I can't get this to work. Here is my .uae for Turrican II which section would I need to edit to swap these buttons around?

      https://pastebin.com/nQsw61K4

@horaceandspider said in Amiberry & Ipac:

@tuki_cat Yes, it is meant to be that way.

Using the ReroArch layouts which are documented in RetroPie, B is the “bottom” button (Cross for a PS pad) ... which I would call “South”

On the Amiga Cd32 pad, this is always “Red” aka Fire and the East/Circle (Retroarch A) button is always Blue.

It therefore retains this layout position when using the normal Amiga joystick layout.

At the moment, I have “locked” the keyboard control this same way around.

You can read your controller layout in Amiberry from a seperate location, and manually chose to change the two around, if you prefer, and I will probably need to make the same allowance for keyboard mapping :)

@meleu Thank you for your answer.

I've tried it again with all buttons and both methods on the controller. Holding and tapping.
It only works with the 'A'-Button on my keyboard.

I'll try to remove the keyboard and the keybinds for it and see it that helps.

@Pixel0501 not sure what you exactly mean, but every controller has its own config (at least for the ReteoArch cores/emulators). It's usually at /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/JOYSTICK_NAME.cfg.

sounds good!! i found this one, it seems to be pretty small, but i cant actually find proper dimensions for it. The screws are supposed to be M2.5, so that would scale it all to be pretty diddy

@Hubz It's a known issue on a few controllers, yours and the iBuffalo SNES seem to suffer the most.(perhaps because they are commonly used with RetroPie). It seems to be a Pi or Raspbian issue rather tban specifically a RetroPie issue. When I test my iBuffalo SNES in terminal using jstest random inputs are registered there. Normally d-pad inputs. No-one knows the cause, so no known fix. At this time.

@Kristopherson05 Have you noticed that there are two options in that menu?:

Save Core Remap File Save Game Remap File

When I choose "Save Game Remap File" it does exactly what you want to do. And it works flawlessly for me (and many others). If it isn't working as it should be for you, I suggest you to delete the .rmp file and try it again.

Fine tuning the list... know what I need for the most part, just pricing sites and seeing who has stock, but a few small items I gotta get off eBay.

I was looking at something like this as a power indicator light, hook it up to the GPIO so when pressed it launches a shutdown cmd and when the Pi is shut down, LED goes out.

Of course, 12V... so can I put something like this in between? Or will the Pi have enough to power the LED just maybe half as bright? This video implies that the 12V LED will work though... has links in description showing the same button on Amazon as well as others... (link below)

Then at the back, I wanted a power button like this. Then I can use a regular computer cord, and a master power switch to cut power to both the Pi and the USB Hub else the case fan would run non-stop. Plus, bonus fuse, which in a small area like here with constant power issues, may be a good idea.

80mm fan I think may need to be running off the USB hub, which may be a pain and just worth grabbing a 30mm RaspPi fan that runs off the GPIO instead so when I press the power button on the front of the console, the fan shuts off when the Pi shuts off. Then just leave the power running to the hub which probably won't hurt anything I don't suspect.

Any feedback? Once sorted, I hope this time tomorrow, I'll have everything on order.

another thing you can do is change the retroarch video driver to dispmanx which is said to save 1 frame off the input latency. i haven't personally done this as it has some side-effects (no shaders, no OSD, no screen rotate)

So an update to what I've tried.

I found this post and set the hotkey button to the 10 (xbox guide). I set the menu input toggle to f1 I ran apt-get update / upgrade

None of the above solved my problem. 1 & 2 did indeed change the hotkey button, but only in non 64 emulators and the 3rd one seemed to screw up my controls really bad. So I deleted the cfg's in the hopes it would restore the controls and upon reboot everything was working really funky.

I think I'm going to re-install and try again.

      I'm really confused as:

The documentation doesn't seem to match what I'm experiencing. Changing configurations seems to cause random bugs. No matter what I do I cannot control PSX games.

      This is lunacy.

I will re-install and try again, but does anybody have a dump of working .cfg files for for the xbox 360 wireless remote with dongle? I feel like thats the only way I can confirm this isn't a bug.

Once again I'm running a pi3 with xbox 360 wireless remotes.
