@huxley518 Hey, oddly working on a similar thing in Python to generate a custom gamelists to for a curated set of games across all systems. A bit more of what I've been doing is here https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/32674/arcade-high-scores-in-the-system-menus-adapted-grid-theme-with-videos but what I'm working on at the moment is pulling out high score data and putting it into a game's description. By using the favourites menu I can pull in all my favourite games and have in one single menu. All the games' data I've curated is in a .csv file.

Here's a snippet of my arcade gamelist.xml all of which is generated each time my cab is turned on before ES starts up.

      <?xml version="1.0"?> <gameList> <game> <name>001 : 1942</name> <video>/mnt/usbhd/videos/1942.mp4</video> <path>/mnt/usbhd/roms/arcade\1942.zip</path> <image>/mnt/usbhd/images/arcade\1942.png</image> <marquee>~/.emulationstation/themes/carbon-2022/art/systems/arcade.svg</marquee> <releasedate>19700101T000010</releasedate> <favorite>true</favorite> <desc>1942 (Capcom, 1984) Arcade DARREN^N 364810 Round 9 D.-&?       @mitu thanks you, I hope it will help.

P.S. seems like it helped, enabling v-sync doesn't causes sound issues anymore.

      It worked! thanks a lot.
I'm using "Version: 1.4.1" for retroarch.
I just wrote a script in python to send UDP packets with this command
      "READ_CORE_RAM <address> <len>"
      Then I received related bytes.

Sorry, we don't support 3rd party images. Use the image from retropie.org.uk/download and see if you still got the issue, then we can help you.

@stealthbushido increasing resolution via launch menu won't help PSX - the underlying emulator renders at a resolution set internally. you can adjust it via: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Playstation-1/#video-double-internal-resolution

alternatively you can apply shaders: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Shaders-and-Smoothing/- i say alternatively, because you wouldn't want CRT shaders AND double resolution, as by doubling the resolution you would ruin the scanline effect and it would look a mess. however the video smoothing effect would be fine to apply.

      FightCade has this.

Please don't use fightcade, they are breaking FinalBurn license.

Rollback netplay has been available for years in retroarch for the cores that have proper savestate support. Obviously it includes FBNeo.

Built From: (Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website, Berryboot, or on top of existing OS etc.. - please provide the filename of any image used): Not sure as this was purchased from a facebook seller.

We don't support 3rd party images and selling a RetroPie image is against its license. Ask the seller for support or start with the image from retropie.org.uk/download and we'd be able to provide support.

@ChaosEffect said in Tips for RetroArch 1.10.0:

@mitu I am not sure how often RetroPie's RetroArch will sync with upstream RetroArch. This is more of a typo correction than a new feature, but it makes the lightgun input operate as intended.

Thanks for the heads up. We don't update too often and we base the update on RetroArch's point releases, I guess it's one more reason to consider the next release for inclusion :).

There's a virtual keyboard on my end when using Netplay, no physical keyboard needed.

I guess first try updating to the latest Retropie version along with Retroarch as well.

bear in mind that even audiodriver=alsa causes a noticeable performance loss vs audio_driver=alsathread on a pi4. if jack is more demanding that either, it would be a non-starter.
