Yeah, I first started with this method. Had the gamelist.xml all sorted out and everything. But for some reason the runcustom.sh wasn't working for me there. You can see the last comment that I made on that topic.

Either way, what I have now works for me, just thought it would be a cool expansion on this useful tool.

@thom_retropie There is no Kodi 18.4 on Raspbian Stretch, only on Buster, but I can confirm that Netflix works fine in Kodi 18.2 on RetroPie, just follow the instructions. Don't forget to install pycryptodomex.

@tpo1990 This tutorial really works well for me on pi4 thanks! All graphics settings to max and still good performance on my small 1024x768 monitor. Looks great and runs between 30 - 60 fps
Game is harder than I expected or remember though!

Had trouble to begin with as game wouldn't fit on the screen at small resolution. Problem wasn't fixed with overscan settings, nor could I fix it with playing around with /opt/retropie/configs/ports/rtcw-sp/main/wolfconfig.cfg settings.
Could still tell what the mouse cursor was pointing at off screen thanks to the menu tool tips. Luckily managed to change resolution settings

Opposing Force start but I'am alone in the training boot camp. Seems like some scripts are broken, the ship that should crash during intro doesn't crash and fly to infinty and beyond.

Is this a new bug, or is it a known issue that has existed since the beginning ? Can it be fixed ?

It was a pain to start Blue Shift with unlocked maps. The linked patch doesn't exist anymore, and others doesn't work. The only solution is to find pre-patched maps pack.

Installation:

copy to sd-card

Themes can be copied to either /etc/emulationstation/themes and /home/pi/.emulationstation/themes, they're read by Emulationstation from both locations.

copy via network: Windows: Open \\retropie\configs\all\emulationstation\themes\ in the Windows File Explorer Linux: smb://retropie.local/configs/all/emulationstation/themes

IMPORTANT: I recommend EmulationStation's VRAM setting at (min.) 120Mb (Rpi4).
(Main Menu > Other Settings > VRAM Limit)
