@Cederick xbox 1 will never work on a pi 3b+. The xbox is quite a bit more powerful than a ps2. And a ps2 wont end up working on it either.

The operators settled to pay Nintendo $12 millon. I wonder if this is a mere symbolic amount which they don't ever have a chance to pay off, or if they really earned that kind of money with LoveROMs and/or other enterprises.

edit: This article suspects that the amount really is symbolic to discourage others, and that Nintendo may "privately demand a smaller sum".

Very nice. It looks like the Bliss-Box is shaping up to be the de facto adapter solution.

Yeah, ZAO is a complete annihilator. And Yamato is like "oneshot" master. I remember punches for 50-75K from Yamato.
Also, I've just finished heavy American cruisers and Des Moines is a total fire machine.
Now I am on my way to Montana and German tier 10 battleship.

@cebix I've now had the opportunity to open a few 8bitdo controllers up now from different lines. It honestly appears to me that the boards are identical between old a new models of the same type. For example, I switched the buttons and board from one of the older SF30s into one of my new SN30s and it was an exact match. When I swapped them around the only difference was the sticker and slight difference in grey color. I'm pretty sure the difference is just cosmetic and the stock firmware.

I have read that there were changes to the wireless radio, but you would need somebody with more specialized knowledge than me to verify that.

Forgot to ask about the best memory distribution? Since I remembered that you can change it via startx pretty easily.

Also thanks for the help so far!

Using Kodi 18 Beta 4 as well now and I like it alot.

@stepea Then I can recommend the Mayflash Arcade Sticks. I have the predecessor of the F500.

They had the original Hammer "The Curse of Frankenstein (1957)". That was great. Acting was good. Next week it's Christopher Lee's movie that made him, "Dracula (1958)".

I love the two series originals and 'The Revenge of Frankenstein' is definitely a great followup to 'Curse'. Most all of the movies from the two franchises are pretty good and have that great Hammer feel. A particular favorite of mine is 'Dracula Has Risen from the Grave'. I own them all except for 'Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell'. I thought about doing a marathon of my favorites over Halloween, but time got away from me. I'll have to check and see if I get the Horror Channel you mention. It sounds great.

For me I still have my original SNES with games and a Sega genesis new in [slightly abused] box with a large pile of games I picked up on ebay for $32. Both are sitting in a box in a closet, along with an Intellivision, N64, and a brand new Colecovision still in the box. (Plan on eventually getting an n64 everdrive) I ultimately want to have a game room where I can display them on a shelf with a CRT and other gaming "paraphernalia" as @ClassicGMR has mentioned. (Along with a full size Virtual Pinball Cabinet I dream of building)

What I do have set up is

an early run Dreamcast, which is capable of playing burned games on a CD-Rs (which I eventually want to upgrade to GDEMU)

Xbox360 which I installed custom DVD drive FW to allow playing backup discs

Hacked Wii U - a very underrated system
Wii U contains the entire content of the Wii board for backwards compatibility, including wii's ability to play gamecube discs. Since the Wii U's laser will not read gamecube games, that core is disabled. Wii U and Wii must be hacked seperately as they are 2 different system. The Wii U part is unlocked to play all backups directly from an external hard drive. The wii partition, using Nintendon't, will unlock the gamecube core, and allow games to be read from disc images. It also has an awesome, graphical custom loader which will natively launch wii and Gamecube games stored on a USB thumb drive!

3 Generations of Nintendo all playing Natively one one system, plus nearly all N64 games playable great using Virtual Console

Nintendo Switch is the latest console I have - modded of course ;)

I know the list contains a lot of newer systems, but for me, those are the ones that benefit most from playing them natively. Especially with how buggy Dreamcast, Gamecube and N64 emulation can be. The older systems I really want more for nostalgic / collectable reasons.

The wired controllers would as long as you have a USB adapter. However, the infrared and 2.4ghz models will not.

Edit: Come to think of it, the infrared controllers would likely work as well with a USB infrared receiver and the proper drivers and capture software. I wouldn't recommend it though, as Infrared produces a lot of dropouts when gaming.

The odroid xu4 has a awesome Sega Saturn emulator, at early stages, but it's looking great for a single board computer.

@barbudreadmon said in New Sega Saturn libretro core : Kronos:

I'm not sure support for boards like the odroid xu4 is likely, because i know a few people who tested standalone YabaSanshiro on this board and were disappointed, and libretro-kronos is most likely slower than YabaSanshiro on this kind of board. However i intend to buy one of those to do some tests.

Yeah, i know those videos, and i know people who tried the real thing too.

If it helps they have only sold 7 when I went to take a look.

I'm not sure this site cares that much about legit items. One of there listing has a title of "Copy of Tidying-up robot" and uses images of the actual toyota robot.

    So Ya.

Vice loads in real-time, same as real hardware.
I tested this with Bruce Lee game, on both Pi and real C64 + Pi1541

I don't suppose there would need to be much difference. Just add a debounce circuit to the Cherry microswitch in a standard coin mech and wire the START button to it. Perhaps hack the rom to say INSERT COIN instead of PRESS START (same number of letters). The only downside is your game would start as soon as you drop a coin, and additional coins would be ignored. Ideally a counter circuit and LED display on the panel would track coin drops and presses of the panel mounted START button. In this case, the ROM would need no mods at all, any single player game that launches with the START button could be put into coin-op service.
