@tuki_cat IPAC is typically a keyboard interface. Modern versions can be setup using the WinIPAC utility to behave as a joystick controller, but most people use it as a keyboard device. Configured this way, all it is doing is sending keystrokes. Amiberry would have to be capable of receiving inputs via keyboard. If you can plug in a real USB keyboard for all of the inputs (direction and buttons) you should be able to use an IPAC.

Just put a folder called retropie-mount and a Roms folder. As long as those are there, it won’t copy anything. If you don’t have a Roms folder it will copy the roms folder from the sd to the usb memory.

@indvrkness Your post does not include all of the details from THIS POST which you are supposed to read and follow, and it doesn't look like you have read and followed the documentation that actually addresses using these controllers.

@linkreincarnate Then you need to do it on the Pi. Use raspi2png

@ScienceGamer004 But, in all fairness to emulators "like GameCube", another answer could be YES, the Pi3 running RetroPie DOES let you add many MANY emulators "like GameCube", but simply not GameCube, as it would be too slow for that. Insomuch as the GameCube is "like" the NES (both are home consoles, albeit vastly different generations), depending on your needs, the Pi3 is a great option.

@jimd0586 yesterday, RetroArch added support for light guns in the same category as the AimTrak. I've tested this new functionality with a Dolphinbar/Wiimote and it works great.

Since I don't have an Aimtrak gun I'm hoping someone who does will be willing to rebuild RetroArch from source and try out the new feature. Any chance you have one and would be willing to give it a try?

@jell yes, sorry for having described my problem poorly, it is all in lowercase indeed (downloaded_images, rom folder, gamelist folder and all the path references)

@jonnykesh you nailed it... just wow... i thought gamelist files were only located in the specific /gamelists/xxx/ folder and never noticed there could be one inside the /roms/xxx/ folder as well. I always worked with the former one. Now i feel stupid. I guess having spent an entire day on that is punishment enough. While i was also thinking of a possible second gamelist file, i initiated a file search via WinSCP from root directory and it would only show me the ones located in ./opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/gamelists/xxx/ I now figured the one in the /roms/xxx/ folder is optionnal but will take priority over the one in /gamelists/xxx/ folder.

    Thanks guys!

I've just finished configuring the new setup with 16.901 roms plus Kodi. All is working fine!

@krispy No worries. 5-7 seconds for the display should be enough before launching the game but obviously you can set this to your own preference.

@didier110 Hey, I had the same problem running Mega Bomberman.

I switched from lr-picodrive to lr-genesis-gx and all was fixed with that game. Since that, I've switched most of my sega to the lr-genesis-gx emulator.

    Good luck!

@blackjack997 sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I think I can help solve your issue if you haven't already. This is from memory, but I fixed the issue by navigating to /etc/udev/rules.d/99-local.rules and deleting the lines about the controller you're having issue with. Go to Bluetooth menu and remove the device. Search and add the device back, then add udev rule from same menu. Fixed the issue for me.

@ckswenson Third Party images with custom configs and pre-loaded ROMs are not supported here. Go ask Mr .Death for tech support.

@edmaul69 I have tried that and it worked - just like chmod 0444 *.nes does - but that doesn't stop the file from being able to be deleted. I thought read only might have stopped a file from being deleted.

Any ideas on how to secure a file from being deleted, but still being able to be read by the retropie system?

Might be the same issue reported here? - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/13269/segmentation-faults-with-mupen64plus-after-update

Yep, I think it's the same, same video plugins crash to EmulationStation, same video plugins black screen and only sound...

I have simply deleted the /dev/input/js* and /dev/input/event* link so that the system does not use it as Joypad.
I have made a little script that delets the links and put it into rc.local so the links get deleted every boot. Somehow a udevrule did not work for me.
