      @Yamt short answer no - you will have to remap it to another button (for that particular emulator/game).

      @emissary the ximo arcade adapters had the same issue. I forget how they fixed it. Might be worth looking into that to see if it is something you can do on your controls

      @rbaker Hi!
      retroarch.cfg I'll post few hours later, when I'll get home.

      Regarding power supply - I use an external 5V 2A USB power adapter and the joystick works fine in Emulation Station, I can scroll pages, select menu items, etc. with it, but it stops working in any configuration tool from RetroArch I try to start.

      @mediamogul said in C64 VICE Is it possible to use two joysticks?:

      @gold64

      Select 'Joystick' for both. This doesn't actually select a specific connected joystick, but rather tells the emulator to use joystick mappings. The joystick mappings can be configured to your connected joysticks near the bottom of the same menu.

      Ah, I understand it now, thanks @mediamogul . So that option tells VICE what type of controller to use in each port, vs. actually selecting a specific controller to use. I was now able to get both DS4's working, and play a game with two players, after mapping each controller using the other setting. I then saved the config files and copied them to my PC in case I mess it up again.

      Yes, I wonder if VICE isn't currently broken in some way with regards to how it saves (or possibly loads) its configuration files, but I wasn't able to reliably reproduce the problems I was having when I first setup a single DS4. Just kept trying until I got it to work.

      Thanks for the quick replies everyone.

      Um, this issue is solved I guess, not sure how I mark this topic as solved (sorry, it's my first thread)? Thanks.

      You need to exit gpsp from the menu with "Exit gpSP" after configuring controls, not by pressing exit etc.

      This is of course documented in the wiki. https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/game-boy-advance#gpsp

      @hansolo77 Thanks.

      You may have a file named /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/MayflashLtdMayflashMDUSBAdapter.cfg or something. AFAIK, RetroArch will get the configs from this file no matter if you have a MegaDrive or an Atari 2600 controller plugged. It can be annoying.

      When you want to come back to this issue, my suggestion is to hardcode the mappings for atari2600 in the file /opt/retropie/configs/atari2600/retroarch.cfg (you may want to have a keyboard plugged in order to solve the issues you mentioned for start button, etc.). You can get the instructions on how to edit it on the wiki: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/RetroArch-Configuration#hardcoded-configurations

      Dank: I'm using the arcade folder. Can I delete cfg files in there instead?

      Trix: I'm able to set the movement as something other than arrow keys and it works fine... so that tells me there is an issue with the arrows

      So I was never able to get the USB interface that i was using to work. I ended up buying a new one on Amazon and it worked great! I bought an Easyget 2 player zero delay generic game controller USB to Joystick for MAME & Raspberry Pi 1/2/3 retropie DIY projects. it was very easy to set up and worked instantly. Your arcade looks awesome, hope this helps, good luck!

      @BuZz said in How to uninstall a configured joystick / Kodi crash:

      Looking at the log it looks as though your sony controller is still connected - Kodi does crash with ps3 controllers. Please format logs/code in code blocks when posting - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

      I don't have sony controller a Sony controller or a PS3 controller.
      I tried to remove/clear any configuration file that recall sony controller but with no success.

      Anyway I solved with a clean installation of retropie. ES recognizes just my two controllers (logitech gamepad and keyboard), Kodi works great.
      Thanks anyway

      @Kristopherson05 That's not what you asked. You asked this:

      is there anyway to make my joystick and buttons the arrow keys and escape button?

      One solution is to use an Ipac2 keyboard decoder. You have not provided enough information (again) https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
