      @mitu No, that's also still the regular version. Those are floating around plenty. I also managed to find this one, but that's cheating imo, as it's not the actual game logo...

      batsugunsp.png

      EDIT:
      I managed this with an automated online vectorizer (I know nothing of this process). Not great, but at least it's something.

      Still testing v4 for a bit longer. Waiting for the next prototype board to arrive. Trying to have it ready by the holidays.

      I've got a post for it in the forum
      https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12163/pspi-1000-version-4/
      Will be updating that page when the next board finally arrives (been waiting a few weeks)

      @meleu Glad you like it.
      Unfortunately due to limited space text is quite small. An alternative could be slightly reduce game area (integer scale) and, with a specific overlay, get more room to enlarge the moves and instructions.

      Hey, looks great! My order came in sometime last week, but it was promised to a friend, so I don't know if all the pieces were accounted for. Even though it came all the way from Denmark, a little over a month and a half for delivery surprised me from a company as big as LEGO. All's well that ends well though.

      If this is supposed to be funny - it's not. It just shows a complete lack of understanding of the issue.

      I completely understand the issue.
      I think that retort just shows a complete lack of understanding of how the webcam "hack" was done. The webcams sent a upnpc command the victims routers to open ports so the victims could access the cameras outside of their home network. The "hackers" sniffed for the open port...found it and logged in with the default password. This is not hard. Raspbian/Retropie do not open ports on the router...although upnpc is installed by default....thats kinda interesting. I wonder how many folks running Rays image have actually opened up thier home networks?

      Even if a port was open on the router (most of the time there is one open) it would still need to be directed to the pi for a hack to occur. Steam and many other video games open ports all the time. The comparison to retropie and the security camera incident is not really valid. Your home network is only as secure as the router firewall protecting it and the devices inside opening ports to the outside.

      Again....I asked...you said no....its your distro....that's that.
      Apologies for ruffling your feathers...I do love retropie and respect the work and consideration that you and others put into it.
      I consider the issue closed and will not post again about it.

      @Soryn79 said in Quick and easy guide for adding music to Emulatonstation on RetroPie. Noob friendly!:

      I recommend changing:

      while pgrep omxplayer >/dev/null; do sleep 1; done (sleep 10; mpg123 -Z /home/pi/bgm/*.mp3 >/dev/null 2>&1) & emulationstation #auto

      to this: (the --no-splash is optional)

      emulationstation --no-splash & while pgrep omxplayer >/dev/null; do sleep 1; done (mpg123 -Z /home/pi/bgm/*.mp3 >/dev/null 2>&1) #auto

      Changing it so that it starts after ES loads just makes more sense to me. This makes sure that the music will always start 1 second after the video ends regardless of video length.

      Hi there, I tried your version and whilst it works beatifully on startup, it breaks emulationstation when pressing F4, it just hangs on a blank screen.

      I thought I'd let you know.

      Any ideas?

      Best!
      Luca

      @jdrassa The way I see it, from my limited knowledge point of view, is that it should be easier to align the icon with the corresponding text entry in the gamelist if it's a font (you can just render it inline) rather than a separate icon element that you need to explicitly render at a different location trying to guess which gamelist entry is selected at a time.

      Then again, I don't know enough of the components in question to confirm that'd be the case. And, certainly, it's not that it can't be done, but just something to bear in mind.

      @mattrixk fantastic post. Thank you for taking the time! I'll comment further if I have anything to add when I'm on my laptop later today.

      @trippy86
      I'm an engineer too :) I couldn't resist the urge to build it myself, but of course it helps if you're familiar with woordworks.

      If I should have changed one thing, I would have routed out some of the wood from the inside of the boards, e.g. in hexagon shapes to save weight but still keep some stiffness - this arcade weighs quite a bit :)

      Wiring is not that complex with a RPi, mostly consisting of signal wires and ground wires from the iPac to the buttons. The illuminated ones need a few more but that's it. Keeping wires tidy helps the overview, but there's countless videos on YouTube - check them out.

      My screen size is a 16" 5:4 and I think it's a pretty good size, and since many games run 4:3 there's only black borders in vertical arcade games. Just look at getting one that's as fast as possible (less input lag/response time), maybe a modern one with a gaming mode.
