@retropiecase you can scrape videos with Skyscraper, if that's what you mean: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Scraper/#lars-muldjords-skyscraper

@shift838 said in No Movement using MAME or MAME4ALL:

The only issue I seem to be having now is even though I have 2 joystics any game with MAME if selecting 2 player all plays off the first joystick. but so far I have only tested games that had only one joystick. I still need to test games that had multiple joysticks for players to play at the same exact time.

That's completely normal if you've ever played the actual arcade games. The only time you'll have the second controller active is on games where both players play at once.

@hostolis I got an error message

      -bash: emulationstation: command not found

How did you install RetroPie? What hardware is it on?

everything was working fine earlier today,

I suppose the $64,000 question is, what did you do since earlier today?

What service does it say failed to start, up where it says "failed to start..."?

@retropiecase said in How can i copy my retropie sd card to my computer:

@gomineko if i Backup is every setup lile scrapper or controller configuration the same ?

If you backup the SD image, it's a bit-for-bit duplicate of the entire SD card. This copies everything, updates, boot settings, installed packages...the mistyped commands in your bash history...everything. Just like you shut it off and just turned it back on again.

If you copy the roms, bios, and configs over the network share and then restore them to a fresh image, you will still keep most of your customizations (from the "configs" folder) but all your history, updates, etc. will be wiped clean and you will be starting fresh on those fronts.

      All fixed.

It was a permissions issue. Needed to run:

      sudo chown -R pi:pi /home/pi
      sudo chown -R pi:pi /opt/retropie/configs

@sleve_mcdichael I see, I did not know that. I have not messed with Attract Mode before but I was told I would really like it as I am wanting a easy front end for when friends play my arcade cabinet.

@mitu said in Trying to mount roms folder from a Synology NAS using NFS:

kind of was. You have a menu in the RetroPie system which is titled Show IP, which does exactly that - displays the network address of your RetroPie system.
Glad you got it sorted out in the end.

Well I didn't know it ! Thanks for letting me know :)

Issue 1 can be easily solved by using the Audio menu in RetroPie and choosing your default output (Analog Jack/HDMI).

For #2 - The Headphone value can also be chosen in the EmulationStation settings, since it has been updated in June 2020 following the RPI OS changes.

@brown7 Thanks for your reply. I have since tested Argos €60 steering wheel and pedal combo and these are recognized by the system. It is a 180 degree wheel and works perfectly on N64 Ridge Racer etc. However when I tried to configure some other of the buttons I seem to have lost the original configuration and am having difficulty matching the pedal signals to the Go and Stop coordinates. This might take another bit of head scratching to correct but at least it was right starting off. Might need to configure more games to use the same signals though the wired Nacon multi system generic stick controllers I’m using for other games seem to use the same controls for most racing games...

My cue file is correct, i open it on FBNeo....any ideas?

EDIT: I´ve removed PREGAP 00:02:00 line from .cue and it works in neocd and fbneo.

Is this make any difference for neocd emulation?
