    Hi Simonster,

thanx for your response and sorry for my late reply. I picked up the project now and tried your command lines. I believe they are actually configured the same, but I do not think that is the problem. If I run the jstest /dev/input/js0, I just see multiple randome records on the screen being populated as if the buttons are pressed, but they are not. I removed every player2 connections, and only have the button 8 + gdn connected; now the cmd line still shows btn 8 and btn 7 being pushed eventhough I though nothing. I believe the xm10 panel must be faulty....

@melbmatt50 said in Retropie issues with WiFi setup and Scraper:

Now during startup it asks for a login and password which I would rather it didn't so I want to disable that.

It's enough to login once - after the upgrade - and re-configure auto-login using sudo raspi-config. Unfortunately that's part of Raspbian and it's not under RetroPie's control. See this topic for solutions to this problem.

Secondly I got a 64gb sd card so I could load more stuff on it but etcher won't verify it after burning the image to it and I get the following message during installation on my raspberry pi 3 model b+ Kernel panic-not syncing: VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(179,2). If you can help me I would be grateful. Its a sandisk ultra 64gb class 10 card.

The error seems to indicate badly/imcomplete written image. If the verification doesn't work, maybe the SD card is faulty ?

    Thanks man!

@mitu said in How do I change NES color palette?:

Can I do that for SNES also?

I don't think that for SNES emulators such a think exists. What are you actually interested in ?

Make the colors more like the real Snes. But maybe I´ll just use a CRT filter of some sort instead :)

    Final Update:

Turns out it was my charger all along . Here is what I ended up doing.

From my Pi3 I run a DC Barrel Jack to Micro-USB B Male Connector (http://a.co/d/4yVdU3c) . Then from the barrel jack I have a normal power supply (http://a.co/d/7j0vMr3) . No voltage issues at all and everything seems fine.

I'm glad you've gotten it sorted out. I started using .conf files to launch Dos games. What I do is enter dosbox command prompt from RetroPie and start the game from there, keeping track of the command I entered. Then I add those to commands to gamename.conf below [autoexec].

I use the games from eXoDOS collection since it uses the "best" version available. It also has a pre-configured *.conf file as well as all the game files pre-installed in it's own folder. You must make sure to change usescancodes=trueto usescancodes=false to make sure input works correctly. Other information will already be set up such as machine type (machine=vga) which can sometimes cause a headache trying to figure out.

Here is an example Star Trek - 25th Anniversary (1992).conf I based the autoexec off of another CD based game-Fallout 1.

    [sdl] fullscreen=false fulldouble=false fullresolution=original windowresolution=original output=overlay autolock=true sensitivity=100 waitonerror=true priority=higher,normal mapperfile=mapper-0.74.map usescancodes=false [dosbox] language= machine=vga captures=capture memsize=64 [render] frameskip=0 aspect=true scaler=normal2x [cpu] core=auto cycles=max cycleup=500 cycledown=20 [mixer] nosound=false rate=44100 blocksize=2048 prebuffer=10 [midi] mpu401=intelligent device=default config= [sblaster] sbtype=sb16 sbbase=220 irq=7 dma=1 hdma=5 mixer=true oplmode=auto oplrate=44100 [gus] gus=true gusrate=44100 gusbase=240 irq1=5 irq2=5 dma1=3 dma2=3 ultradir=C:\ULTRASND [speaker] pcspeaker=true pcrate=44100 tandy=auto tandyrate=44100 disney=true [joystick] joysticktype=auto timed=true autofire=false swap34=false buttonwrap=true [serial] serial1=dummy serial2=dummy serial3=disabled serial4=disabled [dos] xms=true ems=true umb=true keyboardlayout=none [ipx] ipx=false [autoexec] MOUNT -u C MOUNT C /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/pc/ c: IMGMOUNT D /st25/cd/Star Trek 25th.cue -t cdrom cd st25 > NUL STARTREK exit

I haven't tried this .conf yet but what I would do if it didn't work would be to try those commands manually and copy over the changes.

Lastly, sometimes entering setup again is all that is need.

@melbmatt50 BIOS files, like ROMs, are copyrighted material so asking for links is strictly prohibited under forum rules.

BIOS files for Intellivision can usually be found in the same location as INTV ROMs but they may not have the name you are expecting. For example, exec.bin may be referred by its full name Executive ROM, The (1978)(Mattel).bin.

For reference, exec.bin, or its alternative name, is 8.2KB in size when unzipped and grom.bin is 2KB. Don't worry about changing the names, the BIOS files should work as they are.

For all info on setting up Intellivision emulators, including where to place the BIOS files, refer to the Docs: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Intellivision/

The BIOS files will not affect the running of any other emulators.

@nightshadowpt said in "All Games" Collection adds a platform tag to the title - Can it be removed?:

it could be done by editing a config file as many other things in the Pie.

The areas you're referencing are generally related to the emulators, ports and other elements that we often don't maintain. Backend settings for the RetroPie fork of Emulation Station have been discussed in the past and the general consensus so far has been that the developers find it to be a bad practice.

Is there a way to put it in as a request for the next versions?

You can start a thread over in the 'Ideas and Development' section of the forum. If it gains any traction there, it's possible that a developer may take a crack at adding it. However, the change would still have to be approved by the lead maintainers.

@mitu said in Metal Gear Solid switching disks:

@smokingman The 'workaround' is how you're supposed to switch disks - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Playstation-1/#disc-swapping-for-multi-disc-games-in-retroarch.

what i read into this guide is that it is supposed i open eject disk tray, and than switch index to 2/2, and then the guide suggest to select the disk2.cue or .bin file.
if i do that i say it do not work.
it work only if i DO NOT select the disk2.bin or cue file.
it is enough to set index on 2/2, and push again disk tray cycle to close it, and quit the menu.
the guide do not claims that.

but tanks anyway to help me, really bro :)

I did this using the RGB Commander utility. It sets the servo stick from 4/8 way automatically depending upon the game you launch in MAME.

DISCLAIMER: I'm using RGB Commander v.3 with one of the older RetroPie Jessie images. Haven't tested the current v.4 with the newest RetroPie 4.4 Strech image. Might be worth a try though!
