Yes, I figured out about nesting layers, so I got the alignment working.
I couldn't get the resizing of the wheel.png to work the way I wanted, so I just adjusted the 'box' so that it worked for the tallest wheel.png when they were all adjusted by width.
It's not totally perfect but with such a variance in wheel.png sizes and shapes I think it looks pretty uniform.

Now to run it on all the other systems and hope it comes out OK.

Edit: Just tweaked the box so rather than having its own border in the png it just uses the stroke feature to match the border on the screen shot.

Not thrilled with the banding that gets introduced with skyscraper.

@martinbaker2727 Mouse issues in ScummVM were resolved with the release of version 2.0. As you are running an old version of RetroPie which runs on Jessie, for which support is no longer available, I would recommend that you start with the latest 4.4 image.

A virtual keyboard should be available in the latest version of ScummVM. It can be activated by button 7 on your controller, which, I understand, is the Guide button. If the virtual keyboard is not available, then try installing ScummVM from source.

The ScummVM in-game menu is only available with a button press for Lucas Arts titles. For other titles, it can be accessed by pressing CTRL+F5. According to the manual, in Zork The Grand Inquisitor, there are options to save, restore and quit in the Center Bar, accessed by moving your cursor to the top of screen.

@dam034 I don't use it, so I don't know the answers to these questions. You can look up in the official PCSX2 docs though - https://pcsx2.net/getting-started.html.

Look in the Docs page of the system to see what ROM extensions are accepted by the emulator and make sure you use the same format. The RetroPie image comes with the Mupen64plus installed, so it should be enough to copy the ROMs in the n64 folder and restart Emulationstation.

I remember playing N64 games on my 2004 laptop and I got great performance, so I would hope the support is fairly strong now.

Not so much, N64 is far from perfect and not all games are running well.

I mapped the C-Down button to A, the A button to B, and the B button to Y.

@stathopon said in Problem with running ROMS in Retropie 4.4 and from where can i download all roms?:

so how can i find the correct roms for the retropie 4.4

As already stated by @mitu above, read point 5 of https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. You don't find roms for retropie 4.4. You choose your emulator then get the correct romset for that emulator as described in the arcade link above

I found a video here that applies for my situation:

What my friend did was just give me that SD card that was already on his pie. So what I am doing right now is backing it up to an .img file and then I will restore it onto a new SD card.

I just didn't know I could do that until you mentioned it hehe. Thanks a lot mate!

EDIT: I will share a screenshot of how this retropie looks like when it is done so you can see why I like it a lot.

I think I worked it out. A year or so ago when I originally set up my retropie I was focussing on PSX emulation, and in the "autoconfig" controller mappings I must have force mapped this:

    input_up_axis = "-1" input_down_axis = "+1" input_left_axis = "-0" input_right_axis = "+0"

Removing these seems to have done the trick

@retropieuser1 unfortunately we do not support third party installs. as well as breaking the license, they are badly configured, ass you've found. please reinstall retropie from scratch as per https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/

@Dwarfboysim I believe you need to edit the hostprefs.conf file which you can find in /opt/retropie/configs/amiga/amiberry/whdboot.

The following links at the Amiberry wiki should offer further guidance:

    Just my findings:

    commit 0343e3dbd8a22f64698e824e30b08e0887d77b6b
    Author: retro-wertz retro-wertz@users.noreply.github.com
    Date: Sun Mar 4 21:47:52 2018 +0800

Add missing variable to save state

This is the commit that breaks the loading of existing state files from old pi's.

And for anyone's future reference: here is the github issue regarding it: https://github.com/libretro/libretro-fceumm/issues/215

To get the scph1001.bin to work is simple. First you have to rename -> "SCPH1001.BIN" To all lower case and then rename the ".bin" Part to ".cue" that will change it to a .cue and still work as both parts....Or at least thats how I got Mine To Work. :P

Thanks for you reply. No, I don't get the undervoltage symbol. I'll upload the run command.log ( not at home )

I recently changed to RetroPie from RecalBox and didn't have this issue with the wired controller so its less likely to be issues with the power supply.

@GoldenSword This version of Emulationstation knows how to display videos, but in order to show them you have to

Add video tags for the games to the gamelist.xml file used by Emulationstation. This is usually done by a scraper - try Universal XML Scraper or Skraper. Use an Emulationstation theme that supports the video tag and configure the layout of the theme to video so that videos are shown. Most RetroPie included themes for Emulationstation support video - here is a list of them.

@rmigd it depends on the emulator, if not handled properly, size of savestates can be different between 32 and 64 bits. Most likely your android device is using arm64 retroarch while your rpi is using arm32 retroarch.

@TheSkyrish It seems this is a mobile geared device - for IOS and Android - so it might not be compatible. Looking over some reviews and specs, it seems to have a 'mode switch' between different conenction modes (Gamepad/Mouse/ICade ?).
Can you try switching between them, re-pair and see if it's detected as gamepad ?
